Frosted pine trees, snow covering the grass and walkway, clear blue sky, rising sun giving a crimson hue to the sky – this is the beautiful pristine snowy landscape I woke up to as I pulled the curtains back and peeked out of the window.

Birds remained in their nests, wild rabbit and squirrels left little footprints on the thick blanket of snow that were never stepped on.

I kept looking outside every now and then as the day went on and marveled at the beauty of each snowflake falling.

The first snow of the season in Chicago, which I had been eagerly waiting for, has finally arrived.
